The property also offers an excellent location for touring the three counties of Kent, Surrey & Sussex.
With a well equipped kitchen and a dining room seating up to 26 guests Ravensbourne is the perfect venue for celebrations and get togethers, birthdays, anniversaries, hen and a stag weekends. Outdoor seating on the large patio barbeque for alfresco dining in summer. Ravensbourne can comfortably accommodate guests all year round. Well behaved dogs welcome with prior agreement.
The House is comfortably furnished for up to 30 guests in 11 bedrooms. Each bedroom has a full bathroom with large walk-in shower, basin and toilet so the property is very well serviced.
The accommodation is both spacious and unique. The entrance hallway, rooms and landings are tastefully decorated in keeping with the age of property with a modern touch. Furnishings, lighting and the like are an interior architect designed mixture of modern and traditional. The wide spacious halls make it an interesting period property.
There is unlimited wifi throughout the building.
The kitchen is a large sunny room with bay window to the front, an array of stainless steel, oak and pure white, it’s fully equipped with 2 full height larder fridges, full height freezer, 2 dishwashers, double Rangemaster cooker, seating for 4 and a washing machine. Also a large catering urn and 2 bain maries along with crockery and cutlery a plenty to make dining easy.
The adjoining dining room has 3 large tables for 8-10 people. There’s a large wall mounted smart TV, a piano and an open fire to add atmosphere to suit the age of the house. Patio doors open onto the outdoor seating area. From the main hall there is a part conservatory reception room with sofas and a view of the large private garden. For comfort there is a ground floor cloakroom with wc.
The ground floor has 3 bedrooms, ‘Oxford’ and ‘Bond’ compact twin rooms, and ‘Regent’ stair free access with a king and single bed.
The easy-rise staircase leads to ‘Fleet’ twin room on a half landing; and on to the main first floor landing with four bedrooms. ‘Strand’ is a large sunny room overlooking the drive with 3 single beds/king + single beds with large en-suite bathroom, ‘Park Lane’ similar in size, layout and aspect. ‘Mayfair’ is a huge bedroom with 5 single beds enjoying a view of the gardens and finally on this level ‘Trafalgar’ a compact twin bedroom.
On the top floor there are 3 bedrooms, ‘Angel’ and ‘Pentonville’ with 3 singles in each and lastly the smallest room is ‘Euston’ with 2 single beds. Most rooms can be made up with a king bed if required.
All bathrooms have an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower, toilet and basin.
The house is centrally heated with thermostatically controlled designer radiators for individual room comfort.
The large drive can accommodate a full size coach and several cars.
Ravensbourne House has a large private well planted garden as well as a small field with swings and grassed area which is ideal for ball games. Through a gate there’s access to another large garden with aviary and koi pond with entrance to the communal lounge/ games room with pool table, dart board and games/books. Beyond the lounge is a heated indoor pool and sauna which guests can use from 2pm to 10pm. The pool area is a Roman themed vaulted ceiling room heated to a delicious 32 degrees C all year round. The pool varies in depth from 1.2m to 1.6m, a rare private facility in London.

Our group accommodation is only 15 minutes away from London’s historical sights and cultural centres. The nearest stations are a 7-minute walk from Ravensbourne, where trains take you into London Bridge, Waterloo East, Charing Cross, Victoria or Blackfriars from here you have access to all of London’s eclectic neighbourhoods, theatres, events, world-class retail, restaurants and nightlife. It is also easy to walk from both London Bridge and Waterloo East stations along the Thames Path to access many places on foot – the Tate Modern, Globe Theatre, HMS Belfast, St Paul’s, London Dungeon, Tower Bridge, the Millennium Bridge and the Tower of London are accessed from London Bridge. From Waterloo East it is easy to access the South Bank Centre, the Millennium Wheel, London Aquarium, Somerset House, Houses of Parliament, the West End, Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden. And these are just a few of London’s great destinations!
CAR: We are next to the South Circular & less than 25 minutes from the M25.
TRAIN: Catford Bridge & Catford Stations are a 7-minute walk. The train from Catford Bridge takes 11-18 minutes into London Bridge, London Waterloo East & Charing Cross stations. The train from Catford takes 18-20minutes into London Victoria and London Blackfriars Stations.
BUS: The bus stop is a 2-minute walk, with buses every 3-5 minutes.
PLANE: Gatwick & Heathrow Airports are 1 hour by car. City Airport is 45 minutes by train. Luton Airport is 1 hour by train.
